The Price of Being Wrong: Why the Elites Must Pay
Dear Reader,
I talk a lot about money. I talk about assets, cash flow, and financial freedom.
But true freedom isn't just about money. It’s about safety.
The biggest problem in America isn't just bad policy; it's that the people making the bad policies never suffer the consequences..
Judges and politicians are releasing violent criminals and creating sanctuary cities while hiding behind "qualified immunity."
We need a radical shift in accountability. If a politician or judge enacts a policy that foreseeably leads to murder or rape, they should be charged as accessories.
When SpaceX goes public, it could hit a $1.5 TRILLION valuation - that would be 3,000 times bigger than Amazon's IPO. Most investors will be locked out until AFTER the big announcement. But I've discovered a "backdoor" that lets you grab a pre-IPO stake in SpaceX right now. I'm revealing the ticker for free.
It’s about living in a society where the rules make sense.
Right now, the rules don't make sense. The game is rigged.
And it’s not just rigged financially. It’s rigged morally.
The Stupidity Tax
The great economist Thomas Sowell said it best.
He said it is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.
Read that again.
People who pay no price for being wrong.
That is exactly what we have today. We have a ruling class of politicians, judges, and bureaucrats who make decisions that destroy lives, destroy wealth, and destroy communities.
And they never pay the price.
You pay the price. I pay the price. We pay the stupidity tax.
The Shield of Immunity
Look at what is happening in our justice system.
Judges are releasing violent criminals back onto the streets. Politicians are creating "sanctuary" policies that protect people who shouldn't even be in the country.
When these released criminals reoffend—when they rob, assault, or murder innocent people—what happens to the judge?
What happens to the politician?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
They hide behind something called "qualified immunity." It’s a legal shield.
It protects government officials from being sued or held accountable for their actions, as long as they didn't violate a "clearly established" right.
It was designed to protect honest public servants. Instead, it has become a get-out-of-jail-free card for arrogant elites pushing dangerous ideologies.
They live in safe neighborhoods. They have private security. They don't deal with the consequences of their actions.
You do.
The Accessory to the Crime
But people are waking up. The anger is building.
In Florida, a state official named Blaise Ingoglia recently proposed a radical, brilliant idea.
He said that politicians who support sanctuary policies should be treated as accessories to the crimes committed by the people they protect.
If a politician creates a sanctuary city, and an illegal immigrant in that city commits a murder, the politician should be charged as an accessory to murder.
It’s a shocking idea. It’s a blunt instrument.
But it is exactly the kind of thinking we need.
Skin in the Game
In business, if I make a bad investment, I lose my money. I have skin in the game.
If I build a house and it collapses because I cut corners, I get sued. I am held accountable.
Why should the people who run our cities, our states, and our courts be any different?
We need to apply the "Reasonable Person Standard" to our leaders.
Would a reasonable person release a violent criminal with a long record back onto the street?
No.
So when a judge does it, and that criminal kills someone, the judge should share in the blame.
I am not saying we should destroy judicial independence. I am not saying we should criminalize honest mistakes.
But there is a difference between an honest mistake and willful, ideological blindness.
When officials are insulated from the outcomes of their decisions, they stop caring about the outcomes. They only care about their ideology.
It’s time to restore the feedback loop. It’s time to force the elites to live in the real world.
Those who wield power over your life and your liberty must share in the price of being wrong.
Until they do, nothing will change. Protect yourself. Protect your wealth. And demand accountability.
