The Ivory Tower Scam: Why Politicians Are Destroying Your Wealth
Dear Reader,
I always tell people to look at the resume.
We are being ruled by overly "educated" politicians who have never had a real job. They are always pushing moronic economic theories
Every time the government interferes in the free market, they make things worse. Minimum wage laws, eviction diversion programs, wealth taxes…
The best financial education doesn't come from a university classroom. It comes from the real world. You must protect your wealth from the ivory tower elite.
Bloomberg just reported that S&P is considering a rule change, which could fast-track SpaceX into the index after the IPO. That means billions in forced buying. Get in before that happens. Click here.
Before you listen to someone talk about money, ask yourself: have they ever actually made any?
Have they ever met a payroll? Have they ever run a business?
Right now, our nation is awash in moronic economic theories.
And who is pushing them? Overly "educated" politicians. People who have spent their entire lives in the ivory tower.
People who don't even know how to change a flat tire.
They are trying to run the economy. And it is a disaster.
The Gas Price Delusion
Look at the panic over gas prices.
The politicians are screaming. They say the oil companies are gouging the public. They want to regulate prices.
It is pure ignorance.
I have owned gas stations. I know the business. There is no industry more competitive than retail gas.
If I dropped my price by a penny, my competitors matched it instantly.
The system is remarkably efficient. Oil is pumped 7,000 miles away, refined, shipped, and delivered to your local station. And it still costs less than a bottle of fancy water.
The retailer might make three cents a gallon. The government makes sixty cents.
And yet, the politicians want price controls. They want to interfere in a free market they don't understand. It is a recipe for shortages.
The Mansion Tax Madness
Then you have New York.
The politicians there just proposed a surcharge on "non-primary" residences over $5 million.
This is on top of the existing mansion tax.
They want to penalize the people who pay the most in taxes and use the fewest services.
It is insane.
When a politician even mentions a new tax, the asset drops in value. They are destroying their own tax base.
The people pushing this have never had a private-sector job. They think they can just wave a magic wand and the rich will pay.
They won't. They will just call the moving trucks and head south on I-95.
The Grocery Store Fantasy
And don't get me started on the plan for city-owned grocery stores.
I have real-world experience here, too. A government-run grocery store will be a colossal waste of money.
The food will spoil. The shelves will be empty. The fraud will be massive. Shoplifters will have a field day.
The politicians think a grocery store just magically appears. It is a fantasy delusion. It is the kind of dope-smoking nonsense you only hear in a university classroom.
Punishing the Responsible
It isn't just New York. It is happening everywhere.
Look at the new landlord laws. They call it "Eviction Diversion." It sounds like something out of the Soviet Union.
A judge can now ignore a lease and force a landlord to accept a repayment plan.
I am a landlord. I don't want to evict anyone. I work with my tenants. But sometimes, eviction is necessary.
When you socialize irresponsible behavior, you punish the responsible people. These laws will just force rents higher for the good tenants.
It fuels entitlement. It destroys fiscal discipline.
The Minimum Wage Trap
And finally, the $15 minimum wage.
Employers fire people. They cut hours. Small businesses close. Prices go up.
And the worst part? It destroys opportunities for the young.
A loyal worker who earned their way to $15 an hour now makes the same as a 16-year-old who doesn't know how to push a broom.
So the 16-year-old never gets hired. They never learn the real-world skills that actually build wealth.
The Real Education
My most valuable education didn't happen in a classroom.
It happens working in a sawmill in the hot sun. You learn about hustle. You learn about merit. You learn how the real world works.
When you taste the real world, the ivory tower nonsense doesn't work on you anymore.
Maybe that is why the "intelligentsia" pushes these laws.
They want you dependent. They want you to be ignorant.
Don't let them win.
Get a real financial education. Understand how money works.
Protect your assets from the politicians who want to steal them.
The best knowledge comes from experience. Ignore the theories. Watch the results.
